SCULTURA: the manufacturing process to make the frames in the Sculture collection require skills that were developed over time at Trisottica. It is an inherently difficult process referred to as thermoforming. It consists of making one stainless steel mould. The acetate sheet is heated and placed in the mould. As it closes the mould compresses the material inside and models it to the desired shape, modifying the volume and thickness of the acetate. After this process the frame shape is cutted. The result is a beautifully sculptured frame in both the front and the temples.
