INTAGLI: this collection is inspired on the celluloide frames that were made by hand by expert artisans in France back in the 1950’s. The colors fade and vividly remind us of a birds’ feathers. The craftsmanship involved is of the highest level. Our biggest challenge was to recreate this feeling using state-of the art machines. It may seem counterintuitive, but recreating a frame with a machine that was originally done by master craftsmen was no easy task! His ability to make ever so slight corrections in the direction and inclination of each cut as he chiseled the material, is very hard to obtain with a machine. In a CNC machine every single action corresponds to a well-defined formula.
